Ockham's Razor, A Principle For Design (and life)

I've noticed that some of the best advertising, packaging, or products are the simplest. Ockham's Razor is a principle with many variations, all with the same understanding. The simplest design should be selected. I have often been presented with a problem and become overwhelmed with ideas and solutions that seem to grow the longer I work on the task. Over time, I learned to always keep the following acronym in my head; K.I.S.S - Keep It Simple, Stupid. This usually brings me to the most effective solution. I guess this is just my own version of Ockham's Razor, the translation muddied up before being passed on to me. Ockham's Razor is an important principle for design and most parts of everyday life.
