Where Did The Messages Go?

The old billboard on main and broadway has been gone for a while. I was waiting at a stop light, staring at that space in the sky that housed ad campaign after ad campaign. Now, it's all just air. Sure, to some, billboards are another intrusive form of the thousands of messages we are exposed to every day. But, obviously, I don't mind seeing a nice big layout in the sky once in a while. I seem to notice the space more than when the billboard was placed up there. Maybe, the billboard already turned into air before they even took it down.
